Smoothies

Today I bring you a different kind of post about one of my latest addictions. I've been obsessed with smoothies for a week now. I have seen many celebrities and models posting pictures of smoothies on their instagram accounts but I always thought it was a very long process to make. My mother bought a juice extractor for herself and since I tried it, I have become addicted to them. It's so easy to make them. She bought a cheap machine since we are only going to use it for a few months but it works really well. This one is the Black and Decker 400 Watt Juice Extractor

The first step is to choose the fruits and vegetables. In this case, I chose two different types of apples, a banana, a pear and kale. The next step is to peal the fruit and cut it up into small pieces so that it fits in the machine. Then you introduce the fruit and vegetables through the top and push down with the cap, and you are done. This was enough for three cups.

I usually take it in the morning, but if I don't have time before going to class, I take it in the afternoon. I never used to have fruit cause I was too lazy and didn't really like them, but now I eat 5 different types of fruits or vegetables each day, so it's great. The good thing about it too is that the machine only takes out the juice with all of the vitamins so all of the other stuff that usually makes you full is left behind. I usually buy all of the fruits and vegetables at a local farm next to my house, and since I have the machine, I seem like a different person, buying fruits and vegetables all the time, which I never used to do.

  1. Food and fashion are quite the combo haha. Fruit smoothies are indeed awesome since you get to mix so many fruit and veggie flavors all with the touch of a button and then take it on the fly if you need as well. Since you have access to a goof kitchen now I suggest you get these apps: Yummly and Kitchen stories. Both free and are incredibly descriptive, simple, and have high resolution pictures to accompany the recipes.
